Lexar JumpDrive P20 USB 3.0 flash drive is an improved version of the old P10 drive. These drives are built for one thing – speed and performance. Lexar claims that JumpDrive P20 can reach a read speed of 400MB/s and a write speed of 270MB/s. How the actual performance compares with these numbers we will explain below.
Not only this drive is speedy, but it also has a well build housing and sleek design that features a glossy plastic finish at the top and bottom held together by metal alloy based frame. We reckon that this drive is perfect for professionals and people who work with media files like photos and videos. However, this drive will suit everyone with its performance and not less decent price.

Performance and technical specifications
Lexar JumpDrive P20 USB 3.0 is available in three capacities starting from 32GB then 64GB and the whopping 128GB. We took a deeper look at a 128GB version and also did some speed tests. We transferred 10GB of photos and recorded speeds. Here are the results we got: Read speed of 277MB/s and a Write speed of 141MB/s. That’s an excellent performance for a USB flash drive. However, as expected, it didn’t hit the promised 400MB/s read speed, and 270MB/s write speed. But it’s still more than most of the thumb drives on the market. So if you often work with large files like photos, videos large software that have to be installed, JumpDrive P2 is made exactly for you. In case if you want to get this drive only to carry some documents or presentations, you probably should look for a cheaper flash drive as you won’t use its performance.
Shoud I get it?
Lexar JumpDrive P20 is a great drive to buy because of its speed/capacity and price ratio. Actually, the price of this drive is quite low considering its performance. If we look at Toshiba TransMemory ID flash drive that has a capacity of 64GB and compare it with Lexar JumpDrive P20 that has a capacity of 128GB, you can see that price is pretty much the same. Only the thing is that Lexar JumpDrive P20 offers twice as much storage space as Transmemory ID does and is about eight times faster. It also has security features like 256-bit AES encryption to keep your data safe, and Toshiba doesn’t. We will let you decide whether Lexar JumpDrive P20 is worth buying or not.
Lexar JumpDrive P20 is up to level also when it comes to design. This drive is made from a plastic that features a high-gloss mirror finish held together by a metal alloy base. Combining these two features you get one very appealing device that is pleasant to hold in hands. That beeing said, we still think that glossy finish could still be scratched easily and blemish with time. This drive features a thumb-retracted connector, so you don’t get any caps you could lose and connector still is protected. As most drives out there, also JumDrive P20 has a standard key ring loop.
This drive has brands name lettering on the top as well as its capacity. This drive will look good in business meetings with it’s simple and classy yet good looking design.
Lexar JumpDrive P20 USB 3.0 flash drive is an ideal choice if you’re looking for a drive that has a way higher performance than most of the drives on the market and a drive that costs about the same as most of the drives on the market. We would suggest this drive to anyone with its sleek looks and performance. People who do work with media files, for example, photographers will love it. Even if you are an amateur photographer and you have just started taking pictures, you can still get this drive as it’s affordable. That’s beeing said and combined with sleek looks makes Lexar JumpDrive P20 USB 3.0 flash drive perfect for anyone. We love it and advise it as a great buy.
