The PDP Afterglow 9+ is the cheapest headset on this list. However, it’s still great. For many this will be the best xbox one headset, because of its price. Audio quality is soo good that it can match some more expensive headsets. Only thing that’s less impressive about PDP Afterglow 9+ is its build quality and feel. It’s more flimsy and we can’t really call this a premium headset, it doesn’t feature 7.1 surround sound. Otherwise this headset is great, it has good battery life, microphone is detachable and it’s light weight.

  1. Pretty sure the SteelSeries Siberia 800 are not truly wireless. They need a chat cable. All the others do not. I have purchased the Turtle Beach 800x (not good headset) and the Astro A50 (somewhat better) and always on the lookout for a better headset. Nobody can see to do wireless right for the Xbox One. I thought getting the higher end ones would provide better features, performance and less issues. I was incorrect. They are probably no better then the cheaper ones.

    • Depends on what do you mean with “truly wireless”. If you feel limited in any way by having a chat cable running from your headset into controller, there are many other headsets to choose from. By the way, cheaper headsets do differ a lot from high end ones. Also there is no difference in sound or “performance” if you compare, for example, SteelSeries Siberia 800X with P800 (Ones made for Xbox and other ones For PlayStation). They have the same functions and features, headsets made for Xbox are not limited in any way. Can’t seem to understand why you are so negative towards high-end headsets, because they are good.
