Although the data transfer speeds are no where near Samsungs claimed 130MB/s, performance is decent. Even more, it’s good considering this drives dimensions.
Despite drives compact size, it’s very durable. Samsung claims that Fit drive can withstand shocks, water, temperature. You can’t even mess this drive up with a magnet. All previously mentioned comes with a 5-year warranty in case if something goes wrong.
Design is the main Samsung Fit feature. Sometimes when it’s plugged into your notebook, you can’t even tell it’s there unless you take a deeper look. This drive is made very minimalistic. It doesn’t feature anything unnecessary.
The drive consists of two parts – metal USB 3.0 connector and internals that are located in a white plastic housing. The visible USB 3.0 connector features an inscription of models capacity and “USB 3.0”. White plastic housing has “Samsung” inscription.
Samsung USB 3.0 Fit is an excellent drive for tight fits. This drive is fast, slim and affordable. Despite its compact size(length of under 2cm and weight of just 2 grams), it costs about the same as Samsung Bar 3.0. One of the downsides is that Samsung USB 3.0 Fit may not be the best drive for everyday use as it can get lost easily and it’s way easier to plug and unplug a bit larger drive. We see it more like a drive for specific applications and tasks. For example, if there is limited space and you can’t fit standard flash drive on your Smart TV because it’s very close to a wall or a shelf, you can use Samsung USB 3.0 Fit.
